$19 Worth of Petrol and a Big-Arse Curry

I ended up with $19.73 in one of my bank accounts, when I discovered that Fuji the Wonder Car's tank was almost empty. So I went and EFTPOSed $19 worth of Petrol from the local servo. I tell you what, that's not a lot of litres these days.
Anyway, had another bizarre shopping experience at Preston Market yesterday. On the plus side, we have a fridge full of food for about $180. I'm busy cooking a huge-arse (one and a half kilos of beef chunks) Curry - lunch for us till at least Wednesday. Then I'm going to roast this HUGE chunk of Beeeeeef and some great root vegies for dinner. If all goes to plan, I should get by without spending any money till sometime on Thursday.
Oh, the best thing I found at Preston Market? A two kilo tub of "Mediterranean Style" Yogurt! It was the size of a tin of paint! It even looked like it - a perfectly flat white surface once I got it opened. That'll keep me in Breakfast for the next week or more....
And then maybe I need to work out how I blew my entire monthly paycheck in two weeks... I mean, the three hundred buck electricity bill (stupid electric hot water. And space heater.) didn't help, but still... It's not like supporting

I have been so broke of late it isn't funny. Note to my friends overseas: this is likely to hamper my travel plans in the short term :-)
Last week
evildoom_bunny and I were living on leftovers and about $46. I was counting my change - it was incredible. No, it was painful.
The annoying thing is I can't adequately explain were all my cash went. Possibly the huge electricity bill... And then there was the phone bill... And the rent. Then the unexpected trip out to Bairnsdale. The train is $86 per person return...
Anyway, this month I swear I won't:
a) Buy any CD's (except for the one going for 1 US cent on Ebay)
b) Purchase any tickets to theatre events (apart from the two tickets to Keating!)
c) Buy any computer crap (except for the DVD burner and the Bluetooth dongle)
d) Acquire any more books (apart from that one going for $4 on ebay, somewhere in Queensland)
e) Go out to excess (except tonight, tomorrow night, next Tuesday and Wednesday, and Thursday)
f) Go to any gigs (excluding of course Bob Log III the weekend after this one)
g) Eat out (apart from tonight :-)
Fark. I think I see the problem here! :-)

As Usual, Neglecting my Many Fans
Feb. 10th, 2007 08:39 pmEgad, I really haven't been keeping this up to date. Too busy to actually blog.
Or at least... So it would seem. This week, on Monday night, I didn't go to Toastmasters. On Tuesday night, I didn't go to an ALP meeting. On Wednesday I didn't go to a comedy gig. On Thursday night I did go to the Gym. And Friday night I didn't go to a gig at the Ding-Dong Lounge, nor did I go to a nightclub afterwards... This is partly due to extreme brokeness, partly due to extreme tiredness.
In fact, said brokeness is continuing, although we have found a free gig to go to tonight. I should be fine, I get paid on or about Wednesday... And... Shit, I make fuckloads of money, I have no idea where it all goes. Last year I paid more in tax than
evildoom_bunny earnt. Now if only I can work out a way to claim her as a dependent :-)
Yesterday on my livejournal friends page and in my email, no less than three of my friends were harping on about Snow in London. Pretty it was to - and amusing that I know people in far flung locations. Hello! *waves*
