One Less Computer
Dec. 8th, 2006 02:32 pmIn an act nothing short of heroic, I managed to divest myself of one of my computers over the weekend.
Ex-housemate Barbara is now the proud owner of my Toshiba laptop. Which I acquired off my sister earlier this year. She in turn picked it up in Indonesia a few years ago, it had also been to Afghanistan - in other words, it's better traveled than I am.
Nice machine, but of late, it's been exclusively used by
evildoom_bunny to play Age of Empires. A few weeks back I acquired a small desk, upon which I placed
evildoom_bunny's computer, so we can both play Age of Empires at the same time should we want to. Hmmmm, nerdy co-dependance :-) So basically I didn't need it any more.
I actually got it at the time so I could go write etc. cafes or wherever. Then I realised that I'm never home anyway, so having another excuse not to be home was a bad idea. This last fortnight I have been home... Not a single evening!
Plus I got an Imate JasJam which has most of the good things about a laptop only smaller... So basically I'm carrying a computer around everywhere... Fark, that's is nerdy!
So now there are only ten computers in my one bedroom flat :-)
