maxcelcatForgot to mention something fun what happened to me over a week ago now.
I'm a member of the Moonee Ponds Toastmasters club (yes, daggy in the extreme!)
Anyway, I did a speech there at our last meeting, Monday the 30th of October it must have been. About Iraq. And I won "best speech"!
Ok, so I was one of two speakers, but hey. Several people said is was very good, one person even said it was "statesman-like" and that she'd vote for me! Egad...
For my efforts, I was awarded a little statuette/trophy thing. Which was a woman standing next to a lectern :-)
