Evil Doom Blows Her Thing

Sunday Afternoon,
evildoom_bunny was in a concert with the Stonington Symphony Orchestra. They did Beethoven's fifth, amoungst other pieces - haven't got the program to hand.
evildoom_bunny is ever so talented and honks her thing good. The Fifth has a number of sections which are the effectively just the strings playing with the lead Bassoon. So
evildoom_bunny got lots of little "solo" type sections. Did I mention she's terribly good?
The Stonington Symphony are one of the better local orchestras, and certainly accompanied evil doom well :-)
My friend Hazel, my dad, and evil doom's mom all came along. Which was kinda interesting, introducing my dad to evil doom's mom! He behaved himself, asked all sorts of chatty questions about raising a musician. One of his students was in the first violins - it's a small world.
We sat at the front of the balcony and waved like maniacs when evil doom appeared. She was suitably embarrassed.
The one part she wasn't in was a duet concerto for - ironically - bassoon and clarinet. The bassoonist was the lead from the MSO. I don't know, he didn't play loud enough in my opinion. Keeping in mind my opinion is completely biased :-) I'd never come across a duet concerto before, it was very interesting.
Anyway, enough. I sound like some kind of proud parent. Seriously, though, she's tbe best musician I've ever dated. Er, I mean, she's the only musician I've ever dated :-P She's the best musician I've known, that's for sure, and better than most of the members of that orchestra. All we need to do now is organise a professional career for her!
