Music for September...

Hmmmm... Tempted to spend some of my CD budget in September on The Spores, an Art Rock Puppet Band from Los Angeles. Or, a bunch of wankers might be another description :-)
Weird Al Yankovic is also about to release a new album - you can download the ironically titled "Don't Download This Song" from his myspace page.
Then there's the The Drowsy Drivers, creators of "Keating! The Country Rock Musical we Had to Have". I have a *cough* burnt *cough* copy from a friend, and it's getting stuck in my head! Especially the song about John Hewson for some reason... So, to clear my conscience, I should buy Keating or one of their other releases... "Northcote Country Soul" for example. Although it appears to have not actually been released as such...
And it seems New Horizons In Violence have re-awakened and might actually put out more new tracks soon. More than the three new tracks they've put up on their myspace page...
What is UP with myspace???? Why do all these bands have their own sites then get onto myspace as well? Probably for the same reason I do - to keep track of the few people I know there. All the bands I've just mentioned have myspace pages, I suppose it must increase your exposure just a tad. Bah. Get your own damn url you slackers!
