It's been a while since I discovered a new genre (or, more actuality, sub-genre of music).
Scandinavian Death Metal? Passe.
Jazzcore? Been there done that...
Tuvan Throat Singing Punk? Eh...
Music for Dot Matrix Printers? Play me something new...
So was delighted to come across a genre which seems designed just for me... I speak of none other than Nerdcore. That's right folks, programmers and other nerds making... Rap music.
It seems to have been invented (but not named) by a chap calling himself MC Frontalot (who's also recorded tracks with Kompressor) and continued by a whole lot of pasty people who should know better, such as MC Hawking (some guy pretending to be Stephen "Brief History of Time" Hakwings), MC Plus+ and Monzy. In fact, it's gone so far that the last two have been having some kind of feud, writing songs about each other!
So what's it all sound like? Head over to Rhyme Torrents to download FOUR albums worth - over 40 songs! I've had them on repeat on my MP3 player... It's driving me nuts, when it's not stupidly funny.
"I never call Malloc without calling Free" - Monzy.

you said you are a bald activist, well, im a somethingorother dj. sort of mostly. its the main thing i am doing these days, but im still learning, and im doing it the hard way by not playing music that people know. i just dont listen to any music that normal people do, or much of anybody in melbourne for that matter. my only source of music is the net and friends, as im always searching for what hasnt been found and played locally yet.
so, while im sure lazy boy will not fit into any of my current sound schemes:
lazy boy?
