Facebook, one year on

It occurs to me that August, so a few months back now, was the first anniversary of me joining Facebook. I quickly ended up with about 15 friends. Now I have... 382! Jeepers. Although admittedly a lot of the more recent additions, roughly thirty of them, have been people I follow on Twitter.

Although lots of them have been genuine, such as Eleanor from high school. And, weirdly, coming across my dad by accident! And Koos, the retiree I know from Toastmasters who works as a Santa this time of year. And what an excellent looking Santa he makes!

I haven't really touched any of the applications I've got on facebook in more than six months, let alone added any. I haven't superpoked anyone or bitten anyone's zombie. The novelty well and truly wore off quite some time ago. So really I've been using the site almost exclusively for... social networking! Who would have thought!

It's also interesting the number of people I have connected with on my three "core" sites - Livejournal here, Facebook and Twitter. Although I think there is only about three people I know on all three...

Anyway, probably time I went sleepy bye-byes.
