Frogs of Australia....
Jul. 4th, 2006 10:30 amI've been limiting myself to one new CD a month (after the April effort of about twelve). This month I acquired the Australian Frog Calls Subtropical East. As you do. I can now identify at least seventy frog calls from Queensland. Not! The Northern Pobblebonk is my favourite.
evildoom_bunny and I were discussing what an Aussie frog would actually sound like. Frogs call in order to attract a mate, so we figured an aussie frog should have the call "BeerRoot BeerRoot BeerRoot BeerRoot" or may be just "WannaRoot WannaRoot WannaRoot".
P.S. I actually bought this CD off the The Amphibian Research Centre Site, but it seems to be down at the time of writing.
