Friend of a Friend...

We bumped into some friends of mine Friday night, who told us that a friend of theirs - and my near neighbor, apparently - had just won the Archibald Prize with this picture! I've always found the Archibald to be a very conservative award, generally given to a very mundane, pedestrian portrait - but this year, they've impressed me.

I should never have dropped out of art school...
