Hey All, it's Friday, I'm bored, so I thought I'd start a pointless thread here.

Simple question:

How did you come by your username?

My story.

Maxcelcat is an extremely obscure character in the original radio series of The Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy. So obscure that he gets mentioned once, and doesn't get a line! Somewhere in this episode. And it turns out I spelled it wrong - should be "maxelcat". I was actually using it as a nickname way before I got online, and weirdly it's proved to be completely unique everywhere I use it. If you see that username somewhere, it's me. Hotmail, gmail, forums, blogging sites, everywhere. I even own www.maxcelcat.com.

(Interesting. Just done a search for the "correct" spelling. Someone else is using that handle in some forums... Impostor :-)

So, why are you called what you are?

Xai, my short for Xiomara, Teutonic for glorious forest, also Scandinavian for female warrior. Valr meaning the dead and dís meaning Goddess in Norse; together meaning . Goddess of the dead or ~ of death. Valdis is the Scandinavian variation and is my Viking battle re-enactment name.

Zandramas - handle I pinched from David Eddings books.
Aphrael - as above.
I picked [livejournal.com profile] sshatteredd because at the time I felt broken in Armidale and needed a place to vent. It originally started with only private posts, months later I opened it to include friends. Now I have no need for it.
