It's been a bad week for pets.
I just had my mother - more or less in tears - on the phone. Her crazy spaniel suddenly died today. Not entirely sure what kind of dog he was - about beagle dimensions, fluffy and orange. Here we go - he was a brown
English Cocker Spaniel, just like the one to the top right of the article. He was only six years old, and still acting a lot like a puppy.
Apparently he had a bit of a cough yesterday, and this evening he just rolled over, made some odd noises and was no more! Just like that. Sounded like a heart attack or something. If he was a farm dog I might have suspected eating fox bait, but there's not much of that around suburban Geelong.
Other pet incidents this week:
stillbeing's
budgie has been very sick, although he's apparently on the mend. He's a cool bird, likes my keys for some reason.
evildoom_bunny's Fighting Fish died last week.
And Hazel's cat
Ginger still needs a home...
Hope those of you with pets are having better luck with them!
