I dreamed I was driving around Adelaide with a guy from my toastmasters club. We were slightly lost. I went looking for a map, but found instead in the glove box, seven of my hats. We drove past a weird I-shaped bus, which then drove through and identically shaped door on the front of a theatre. Later, we went to the gym, but half the doors had been plastered over...

I had another dream about a beach house I often stay in. I was trying to cook myself some breakfast, but there were too many fry pans full of tomatoes on the stove. Someone was building a house against the dune in front of the place that sort of blocked our view. We were annoyed.

Eeeeeep...

Two of my friends have told me in the last few days that they're HAVING BABIES!!! Eep!

[livejournal.com profile] evildoom_bunny and I were talking about baby names (my friend Zoya rejected "Paul" out of hand - how dare she!)... The conversation went like this:

Maxcelcat: I've always thought Shania has a nice ring to it
Evildoom: Yes, or there's always Britney, or Madison.
Maxcelcat: Well, why stop there, if both names are nice, why not hyphenate them: Britney-Madison-Rainbow
Evildoom: Well, you're obviously limiting the capabilities, the endless possibilities of the child with a name like that. Why stop there? Why not Britney-Madison-Hope-Charity-Rainbow?
Maxcelcat: That's far too American, we need an Aussie version with all the Aussie female virtues: Sheila-Meat-Pie-Bring-Me-A-Beer-Bitch-Esky.

*sigh* I wish this wasn't a joke... I know of four children lumbered with the following names:
Elite (I WISH I was making this up!)
Christelle (One of my cousin's kids)
Eammon (Elite's brother, who was almost called Carlton after his parents favourite football team)
Zenith (We figure she'll end up dating Elite...)

Let this be a leason kids - be thankful for your common-or-garden names!!!!

My local paper informs me that the service station at the end of my street - like 200 metres from here, which I use as my local milkbar - has been robbed four times since September last year. Great. Usually at knife-point, the robber then rushing down one of the back laneways around here. Beaut. I'll have to remember not to need milk late at night when any scary looking people are hanging around in hooded tops (or whatever they wear, I haven't a clue, I'm just a suburban white boy.)
