All this and a free donut too!
Feb. 15th, 2006 03:23 pmI've tried to get my sister to start a blog (ooooh, that reminds me, I still owe her money for that laptop I bought off her. Eep) since her life is somewhat more interesting than mine. My blog is "hung out with
evildoom_bunny, saw film, went to work", shit like that. My sister's last job was in Kabul helping organise elections. Now she's in Yemen learning Arabic. You see what I mean.
I'm trying to think a little more locally. I've got hooked on decaf coffee - yes, this is possible - and found myself hovering around the local Hudson's coffee. Ok, so at least they're Australian, even if they're a chain. So now I'm supping on a coffee from the little cafe in the atrium of my building, which seems to be owned by the guy who just served me. Who just gave me a free donut which would otherwise have been chucked out. Which I promptly gave to a cow-orker, I don't do sweets.
Speaking of coffee, my roll as sometime leader of the Melbourne Culture Jammers, I am organising... Well, something, let me know if you're a budding activist.
And speaking of Jamming, I'm appearing in some capacity in a forum at the Sustainable Living Festival in the middle of Friday.
*sigh* I'm sick of this job already, having only been here since late August of last year. I don't want to be a programmer any more. Anyone out there want a slightly used software engineer?
In an unrelated note, I plan to download everything have ever produced.
