What the Heck Is that Noise???

We can quite clearly hear the Melbourne Big Day Out from my flat! It's gotta be five kilometres from here, over in Princess Park.

Ok, we can't really hear it that clearly, it sounds like someone next door playing the radio really loud... Enough to maybe make out which band it is.

Damn, I've never been to a BDO, should go next year before I'm too fucking old. [livejournal.com profile] evildoom_bunny first went to one it when she was thirteen. Mind you, the line up, every time I've bothered to look, has usually sucked dogs balls. Except for the time Kraftwerk where here, but then I saw them at a side show anyway...

Sleepy time now.

I went to the first one in Sydney, the one with Nirvana. I remember it like yesterday. I was 19 or 20. I remember it like yesterday. Fuck I feel old.

Are you trying to tell me I still have some cred? Cos I haven't even told the story about Anthony from the Chilli Peppers crashing my 21st b'day party. ;-P

BDO doesn't really appeal to me - it's the whole crowded, uncomfortable, sweaty thing. If I was going to see the bands I'd much rather see them at sideshows rather than cram my way through crowds between stages to get to whatever I wanted to see.

Even if I did want to go, my parents wouldn't let me. *sigh* They seem to think I'm going to get squashed and die. At anything. That's unlikely even in a moshpit, but they won't let me go to concerts with allocated seating either. >_>
