TISM Now a Smaller Band... :-(

Remember that band called TISM? Who I followed around for many, many years earlier this century?

Well, it's my sad duty to report that one their guitarists, who delighted in the name Token Blackman (previously Tony Coitis!) died a day or so ago.

His real name was James Paull, also known as Jock. My mate who know him got a bit confused, since the other guitarist in TISM delights in the name Jock Cheese - who is alive and well!

There were a number of notices in today papers, including one from his fans...

I'm trying to think back if I ever met him, I suspect not, although I think he was in a group of people I got chatting to at a TISM gig at the Palace years ago.

Hey all, I have a spare ticket to see Henry Rollins at the Comedy Theatre on Friday April 18th - anyone out there care to join me? The Girlfriend can't make it.

You would have to sit next to me, but there'd be strictly NO making out!!!! :-)

I Haz Job!

Woo-yay. One of the companies who interviewed me yesterday has offered me an (ace) job. Development at first, but with the chance to move further up the food chain. Yay! I start on the 21st! W00t!

And as usual I'm doing five things at once - roasting some lamb, fixing a PC, changing the sheets on my bed, making a cup of tea, blogging, patting the cat, cursing the cat for throwing up on the couch, etc. etc. etc.

Will have to arrange a drink sometime next week or the week after to celebrate.

Man, it never rains but it pours...

I now have THREE job offers in... (counts) in four days! Eep. Now I gotta decide which one I like best. Or maybe I'll just win tattslotto over the weekend and it'll all be moot :-)

And still waiting to hear back for a place I spoke to last week... Then I'll be really, really confused...
